Ox Hotel Spean Bridge

The dining experience was a highlight, especially with a hearty T-bone steak that filled my soul. The location is spot on for exploring the scenic highlands, and the staff were on their toes.

I noticed the building looks a bit long in the tooth, only a wee touch of sprucing up would really help it shine. Staffing seems a tad stretched-especially in peak times-so be prepared for a wait now and then.

Thanks for a very enjoyable stay of this two days prior to visit. Welcoming and efficient staff and really make it a good place to stay. The hotel boasts central location to Glenfinnan train station in the morning. I recommend this property to all, nothing too much trouble.

The rooms were budget & beautifully decorated with double beds.

The chalets we rented were comfortable with nice beds. The lack of basic toiletries and cleaning issues in the initial chalet we received was disappointing. While the location is great for outdoor activities, improvements in room maintenance would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Leaving

The Spean Bridge Hotel is so run down it can only be described as a hovel, the food is terrible and the staff lack the interest nor enthusiasm to make your stay pleasurable. It should be avoided at all cost unless you wish to experience the worst example of a Scottish Hotel.

Magnificent location and good facilities.

The location stands out, providing easy access to the nearby commando museum and picturesque sights. The annex offers safe parking and simple access.

There's a bit of a worn-out feel to the place. Both the building and the decor show signs of needing a refresh. Room maintenance lacks attention to detail, with issues like missing bathroom blinds and minimal toiletries. Some rooms experience noise from the downstairs bar, which can disrupt sleep, and cleanliness could be improved, as noted by unsatisfactory conditions in dining areas.

it ws only an overnight stay,staff were very helpful & polite ,breakfast was just what fine, overall if was a pleasant stay

Had a cozy night in a spacious family room. Great location for morning walks, and the staff were super helpful! The place could use a bit of a facelift, but it served as a decent base for our adventures.

Carpet in our chalet dirty and worn. Shower very old and poor. Surrounds weedy and neglected . Loose gravel brought into chalet. Hotel on outside looks extremely run down. Wouldnt stay again. Very poor value.john j mc carthy

The staff at Spean Bridge provided really good support , particularly when I encountered issues with my hiking equipment. The fish and chips I had in the hotel restaurant were good and added a pleasant touch to my visit.

The hotel could use some updates.

The br staff that greated us were fine in the evening, but beyond that breakfast was cold, I reported two things wrong in the room, which probably went unheard, would not recommend to anyone,

Ease of access

Breakfast was under par and would prefer better bread
